Job Description
Reporting directly to
the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President-Finance is a key
member of the NNOGC executive management team.
The Vice
President-Finance is responsible for establishing, presenting, implementing and
managing the financial systems, processes, reporting and internal control
framework for the entire Company. He/she
oversees all financial functions including internal and external reporting,
shareholder relations, accounting, treasury and tax matters, insurance and risk
management, information technology, budgeting, mergers, acquisitions, and
financial analysis. He/she serves as a
liaison with the Company’s bankers, joint venture partners and any other
parties having financial dealings with the Company.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will
have at least 15 years of senior financial management experience with middle
market to large market companies in the oil and gas industry. Experience with multi-location retail
operations would be a plus. Direct
experience implementing financial systems and processes is essential. He/she must have extensive experience
developing financial plans, their supporting budgets and the measurement
systems used to support the plans.
The successful candidate
must present an exceptionally strong technical background in both accounting
and finance and must either be a certified public accountant or possess an MBA
degree, both would be desirable.
The successful candidate
must have experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital development in the
public debt and equity markets and framing and negotiating deals with
commercial banks and business partners and strategic planning.
