Community Contribution Guidelines - 2013
NNOGC works hard to promote good corporate citizenship and supports numerous charitable organizations on the Navajo Nation. We are actively involved in the communities we do business. The average size of donations ranges from $100 to $2,000. Our contributions are primarily directed and focused on four key categories:
- Environment - Any activities or events that promote, educate, or increase the awareness of beautification of the environment.
- Youth Development & Education - Any variety of events that promotes standards for young people to achieve the best possible learning experiences in math, science, history and cultural enrichment.
- Health Promotions – Events that promote and provide education, awareness and prevention of diseases, wellbeing, and wellness of self and community.
- Community Welfare - Any event or campaign that supports all demographics that provides education, awareness, and prevention such as conferences, seminars, and positive community activities.
The NNOGC receives letters of requests for donations or sponsorships. Each month the NNOGC Donation Committee meets to review the requests. Each charitable donation is made upon the approval of the committee who determines whether the request meets the criteria and need. We strive to support the most significant causes that complement our corporate objectives.
NNOGC values supporting the community not only through monetary resources, but also through establishing beneficial relationships and dedicating service and time towards significant causes.
If you will be soliciting NNOGC for a sponsorship or charitable donation, please allow 2-4 weeks for review.
NNOGC requests that non-profit organizations seeking funding provide their written proposals with the specific information on an official letterhead that contains the organization’s official name, address, telephone number, fax, mailing and physical address, contact person, address, telephone & fax numbers, and email address.
It is important for organizations to provide additional information of their organization’s background including history, mission, and the population currently served, key personnel, Board of Directors and Trustees.
