Resolute Natural Resources Company, LLC and Navajo Nation Oil and Gas Company are U.S. oil and gas companies active within the Navajo Nation Indian Reservation. We are accepting applications from Navajo students enrolled as members of the Navajo Nation for the College Scholarship Award. The program offers a full, four-year scholarship. Application guidelines and instructions are included in this announcement.

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS JULY 2, 2010.
Applications must be received by the RNRC/NNOG Scholarship Department in Window Rock by 5:00 p.m. MT, July 2, 2010. Applications postmarked after that date will not be considered. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Four-Year Petroleum Industry Scholarship

Offered Annually- Fall 2010 Semester Deadline- April 6, 2010- PASSED

Navajo Nation Oil and Gas Company (NNOGC) is offering a four-year scholarship for Navajo undergraduates pursuing a bachelor’s degree in geology or petroleum, mechanical, or chemical engineering. The four-year scholarship will cover the student’s tuition, books and campus living expenses during their pursuit of a qualified degree.

We are looking for qualified applicants to submit applications for the Fall 2010 semester. All program requirements and deadlines are set forth in the application link below. Please note that the application deadline for the 2010 Four-Year Petroleum Industry Scholarship has passed. No new applications will be accepted for this application cycle.

Navajo Nation Oil & Gas Company’s Scholarship Program

Offered Every Academic Semester- Spring 2011 Semester Deadline- November 30, 2010

The Navajo Nation Oil and Gas Company ("NNOGC") is a wholly-owned corporation of the Navajo Nation, established as a federally-chartered entity under authority granted by the Navajo Nation Council.  NNOGC is a product of the Navajo Nation’s Energy Policy.  NNOGC’s scholarship program is designed to encourage academic excellence and to prepare Navajo tribal members to become skilled and knowledgeable  in the petroleum industry by providing a resource to assist selected Navajo students to pay for their educational expenses, including tuition, fees, books, and room and board.  Scholarship recipients are encouraged to apply for summer employment not only with NNOGC but also with other companies and agencies involved in the petroleum industry.

Scholarship Eligibility

Eligibility includes being an enrolled member of the Navajo Tribe, majoring in subject central to Petroleum Industry and other related degree programs, maintaining a Grade Point Average of 3.0 or above and being registered at an accredited college or university as a fulltime student.  The NNOGC implemented scholarships all aligned with the Pipeline Agreement, Operating Agreement and Agency Scholarship Program.  The programs help offset educational expenses such as tuition, books & fees, and room & board.  The program is independently managed by NNOGC’s Human Resources.
